Stainless steel is lighter but I really doubt that would matter to much. People say that stainless steel has a bit of a tinny sound to it which I guess makes sense. Majority of people go mild steel as I have and once it carbons you defiantly won't regret getting it.

That thing would be insane to drive though... with a 3.7 diff that think would leave f**k lines everywhere. |

Its definitely pretty impressive, if you're wondering its about 240rw kw, same as what a stock BA turbo has at the fly!
I'm just interested to see if he can back up the dyno figures with a mph figure down the quarter. |

I dunno krisis... It seems like more of a dyno car than a street or drag racing car to me.

Well i am looking at getting near 200rwk, Will spend about 3-4k... When i get some more of my own tools ill be able to do some of my own stuff. Chasing a cheap engine crane.
If i can hit 200rwk ill be pretty happy considering it will be keeping up with if not better than a stock xr6 turbo. |

With some very cheap bolt on mods and a tune you'll defiantly have one of the fastest P Plater legal cars. With just a catback and a pod filter I beat a boosted 180sx. Commos honestly don't stage a chance lol. |

Well i picked up the car quite cheap, It's done low k's engine running a1.
Thinking of starting with PH4490's and 2 1/2" Redback Exhaust system with 2 1/2" High flow cat. I have managed to get a quote for $1k fitted. After this i am looking at getting a Growler Intake System, Though these seem to be about $500. I will pay if its worth it though is there any other good options i don't want to go cheap if i am loosing power ability. Once the induction is done ill be looking at Atomic stage 2 cams and then a tune. Hoping for around 190rkw. Was thinking of bigger injectors, Though should i bother being a N/A |

You won't need to go bigger injectors the stock ones are fine. 1 grand fitted for a full exhaust system isn't too bad, it's about average.
As for the Growler Kit... all it is, is a boxed off pod filter... I honestly don't think you should waste that much money on an air induction. The better response and the better sound can be given off any proper induction. Mines a perfect example... simple pod filter with a stainless steel box fitted into passenger headlight. Cost me a fifth of a Growler Kit yet it does the same thing. |

Car is in getting a rwc at the moment getting it all switched over into my name. Hopefully have it in at Fat Pipes near end of week getting exhaust/headers. |

Hey mate havnt been on here in a while. Only just seen the thread. I have a mate this firday is getting stage 4 atomic camshafts and valve springs installed.. He already has pacemaker 4490s, 2.5" exhuast with centre muffler removed. Growler cai. We are hoping this should net him around 200-210rwkw in a manual.. Ill report back on saturday once its all tuned and ready to go.
Also with growler not trying to start arguments but i highly recomend them. The shape they use causes a RAM air affect.. helps air pass thro the filter quicker. |
