Hi guys, here is the deal, I currently have a Hybrid EL motor in my EL thats done about 260,000kms, it still performs ok and everything but could be a little tired. I have about $1000 to spend on the performance of the car and have a chance to buy an EL XR motor with about 100,000kms on it and still have a couple hundred left or I can spend the $1000 on the current motor.

What do ya'll suggest?

get the xr motor, change the cam or get head work done or extractors with the remaining cash, then sell your old motor and spend the cash on the remaining mods listed above.

depends what you want. some people pay extra just to have a head with a T cast on the front.
For a grand, you can do a lot of headwork (more than what is doen to a XR/Tcifkrod head) with a cam and extractors to match.
