what about an eb ghia?, very luxurious for its age, dont let the fuel prices put u off the v8, or you could get an ef gli, just try and get it in a series 2

redbook seems too cheap to be true - what r those prices for?, a rusted old dunger with no reg and bald tyres!!

although it does show the difference between a GLi and an XR6

eg 95 ef gli $3900 vs xr6 $7800 - twice the price!!!

anyone been to the auctions - how do they compare to the redbook prices?

You should save another 5 grand. So you have 10grand to spend. Most cars around 4-5 grand are just money pits. The best car to buy for that price is of a family friend or uncle etc, then atleast you know the history.

Nearly all cars at car yards in that price range are bought at auctions for between 1-3grand. So your just buying somebody's trade in piece of rubbish..........

My old man sold his immaculate low km ED xr6 at the start of the year, He got 9000 cash for it, sold in 3 days from advertising. But it was in as new condition.................and had all the factory options except for the sunroof.

Cheers Luke....................
