Got to get rid of my newly installed pod filter, rang suncorp and they said my excess would go up by $400 but my monthly payments would not change. So the $30 pod will be put in the shed for now.

I am going to mount the 3in pod adaptor inside the EL lid like on the EF lid. Autospeed site said this helped the lid draw 20% more air. Also the diameter will be 75mm(3in) and not 55mm..

post some pics tonight, might allow the K&N panel filter to breath a bit better.

...................insurance companys suck big time...................................

Damn bean counters ... cos you are adding a pod filter that will most likely reduce the power output of the car ... hee hee.

I always laugh at insurance companies regarding stuff like this.

So how does a Pod filter increase your risk to the insurance company???

RACV will insure the car regardless of modifications as long as it it road legal as per VICROADS. With no change in premium or excess -as long as it is market value.

I'm still paying $330.00 full comp, including my DVD screens, sound system, exhaust and extractors, body kit, wheels, lowering that hasn't happened yet, window tints, blah blah blah. :)
And my excess isn't too high. Alianz are the hsit!

By the way, any reason why your signatures that long?

Really? Doesn't say anything about that in the policy statement book thingy.
I really should tell them about the 3.45LSD and Whiteline bits I'm putting in....

Yeh, when i was with them i was always led to beleive i could only have a max of 6 modifications, i got to the full 6 within 6 months, had to lay off mods till the policy was up for renewal, then went to justcar (they are really expensive that lot)

I'll have to switch across to justcar with it, I think RACV will get scared when I mention braided stainless steel brake lines...

shannons will charge you extra for mods too. $400 extra for me if I want to change anything, from small things right to supercharger.
