Cheers for that Shortshift, reading through that, I cant even use my 68mm throttle body as well. There seems to be quite a few things I thought was legal and it isn't. I'l try seal up one side from the engine and be done with it. I'l just change back to stock if the police don't like it.

If it looks stock, they probably won't say anything. Having lots of bling in the engine bay is asking for attention. Paint it all black.

Shortshift...in regards to Quote: (b) Dry element pod type air cleaners are permitted on EFI vehicles. Oiled, oil-soaked or fluid-treated elements are not permitted. Anysensors integral to the original system must be retrofitted to the same approximate location." I would assume "Oiled, oil-soaked or fluid-treated elements are not permitted" is referring to unboxed filters and not normal boxed filter...ie K&N panel filter in factory box. I would hate to get a defect for having a K&N panel filter in factory box.

In SA we have to retain the factory airbox.....
Also we cant used filters like K&N etc either but how often will a Police Officer actually check??? One of the grey area's is that is it doesnt state we can upgrade to a later model airbox that flows higher either....

"Replacement air cleaners are permitted provided that they have all connections and systems present on the original air cleaner and operate in an identical manner." I've never heard of anyone getting a defect notice for a panel filter, or even a pod filter in a standard air box (like I have). IMO, if the police lift your bonnet and everything looks & sounds like a standard vehicle, there's no reason to question anything.

I think police may pick on it if it's got a 3" stainless steel intake running from TB to box...
