If its in limp mode, stop the car, turn off the ignition all the way, wait 1 minute, restart and drive it, it should start off in 1st up to 3rd only, and stay in 3rd, ( no kick down will happen), till you do it again.
Its usually the gear position switch, is faulty.

It would help if we knew what model your car is. Check if the interior light works still, in EF’s if the fuse for it has blown the auto will go into limp home mode.

Good luck

how sure are you that the car is in limp mode? Did you reconnect the TPS?? And all the other hoses and connections??

Id doubt very much the problem but did you perform a throttle calibration after it was removed? Mine went into limp mode about 2 years ago, i ran the diagnostic and found Soleniod S1 at fault, i replaced it and all good. I would run the diagnostic to call up any fault codes otherwise you will be guessing as it could be a number of things.

the TPS seems to be out of place .. the small ratchet like circle in the sensor seems to be very loose .. could that be the problem ? i disconected all the wiring to the throttle body to see if i could find any visible faults , but all i found was the TPS , made me slightly curious
