There are plenty of single turbo Falcons that'd beat it. But then there would be other 300s that'd be some of those too. Namely BAs running consistent 11s and 12s.

Who cares??

holden's beating you just plain sucks, i agree there (get 3.9 diff gears if you're an auto) but as far as the ricers, sometimes you just have to give it to them.

for instance, a 180sx weighs about 1200kg or something, then if they have 200rwkw, a tuff manual box, short a** diff gears and a twin cam head and you rock up next to one in your falcon weighing in at 1500kg or so with a 2.5" exhaust that your local skinhead mechanic fitted coz he said it sounds TUFF and expected to beat it with your almost stock 100-110rwkw, your a retard. i used to think like you - how can some tiny POS ricer be so fast but i've since gotten wiser. things that help are:

light weight
turbo gets more power with minimal extra weight
short diff gears (4.11 or higher)
good gearboxes and clutches for quick changes
twin cam
cheap and readily available piggyback computers

the thing that should help you sleep at night is that your falcon prolly on cost you $5000 or such ($2200 for me :D ) whereas a stock S13 is still going for about $9000 or something i think (cbf checking). if you turbo'd your car properly, got a weight reduction and shorter diff gears then you'd be owning everything on the road.

rant over

oh yeah, and falcons have other qualities that ricers dont such as:

leg/head/arm room
boo space
four doors (and room in the back seat)
they can tow stuff
and as you said - more meat so they'll survive the crash
i could also say panels and parts are cheap but so are most jap bits

300zx's are quick till they go BOOM. Not the most reliable things in the world. Can any one say electical problems?

I know a guy who imported a twin turbo 300ZX from Japan.. he was very proud of it, and first night he got it he was for a cruise around.. about ten minutes into driving, he went round a corner (perfectly normally, no sliding sideways or anything like that) and the wheel fell off, f**k all his front suspension :D

Don't forget, if you put the money he's spent on his ZX into your EFII XR6, you'd leave him for dead. Don't whinge too much, his car doesn't get much better than what it is now

And what's wrong with how 180's look?!??!
If I hadn't bought the Sprint I would have got one...

Yeah? How can someone who appears to have good taste (i.e sexy Sprint) be tempted by a 180SX???

That's just mind boggling...

I for one am glad you got the Sprint then!
I can't stand 180's, they're looking too outdated now.
I disagree with the Twin Turbo 300's being quick. A stock one is very average speed wise, but there's not many stock ones around...
So, like any Forced Induction car, if you can do the right mods to it, you will see great power gains.
