Front seats are the same as sedans (EA - ED I'm not 100% sure if EF/L will go in. I think the rails are slightly different, perhaps another member can clarify), however the rear is not.
But with your previous experience in upholstery, skinning a leather rear out of a sedan and putting it on a wagon seat frame should be fairly straightforward.
*edit* If you do end up re-trimming the rear seat, perhaps you could post up some pics etc and let us know how you go. I for one would be interested in seeing how it's done.

Hi. The EB, and ED Ghia wagon was available with the option of half and full leather seats. Both of these came with leather donut style headrests.

My EB1 Ghia Wagon has the early dark leather and cloth seats from factory, which are quite rare.

The rear sedan seat base will swap straight over, but the rear seat back can be modified by relocating the sedan mount points to fit the wagon. The side bolsters may fit too.

I have also heard of members swapping the seat covers from the sedan rear seat back frame to a wagon frame. You will need a Fairmont or late Futura frame as they had the head rest mounts in them.

Cheers
BenJ

Is the EL Fairmont a wagon?

If yes, then it will fit straight in.

Sedan will need to be modded, regardless of the model.

Cheers

I have a sneaking suspicion the front seat rails differ.

Doh, missed the bit re the front seats.

EF/EL front seats do not bolt in to an EA-ED.

They need to be modded.

Cheers

slip the trim covers off, repad to fit your seat frames, same as furniture.while its striped off, check for cracks or twist in the frames that may need welding, easy but time eater.be carefull with leather shades, you can mod the style a bit to your taste, finding good leather may be hard.
