does anyone have a pic of a flare nut spanner?
will give it another crack thursday.
thanks
They're essentially an open ended ringy. Carefully remove the burrs and rounded edges from the fuel connector nuts with a file. If you don't have access to flare spanners, use open enders, but be careful - make sure they fit snug, and position your two spanners so that you can squeeze them with one/two hands with the final tightening. Run the vehicle and check for leaks as usual.

And be bloody careful not to cross thread a bolt, or you'll be walking down to the spare parts dealer for another filter...
I know this from experiance.

heh. glad to know i'm not alone. it's just so easy to strip those aluminium threads. Also make sure you depressurise the lines by disconecting the relevant relay and kicking over the motor. it'll run for about a second.
