Hi guys, I am starting my manual conversion on my new falcon, I have done one before on my old car. This time I just cant get the dash out, it will come about an inch away and that is it.
I have removed the 6 nuts or so that sit under the top pannel on the dash, the steering column is dropped, the bolts have been removed from the brake booster, the brake pedal disconnected and the bolt either side of the dash at the bottom has been taken out. I have also removed the cluster, climate control pad, trip comp and all that jazz. What else is left I really am stuck and cant think of anything, I have tried searching for a docco to find exactly what has to be removed but I really cant find one. Any chance of any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

did you get the two bolts either side of the tranny tunnel underneath where the unit sits? theres two tucked up under there somewhere...

Can I ask why you are pulling the dash out to do a manual conversion?

nalane is right....to do the pedal box just take out the steering colum and the box should come out.
i pulled a pedal box out of and eb today without taking the dash out

nah its cool mate. i done a conversion myself and had to move mine out then recently did a mates au because his pedalbox FAILED.

EXACTLY... my ea that was my donor car for a manual conversion had those 3 top bolts and had to unbolt the dash. Also my ef which I swapped pedal boxes over for the conversion, also has those three top bolts therefore having to unbolt the dash. Any e-series Pedal box that doesn't would have had to have been f**k with.

just take the cluster out and turn the air vent 90degrees and there right there....im wreaking the car so didnt really care....if it was my daily would have done it different maybe

dash is still in the car so there is my proof...sam can come round an look for a 2nd opinion

the vent can be undone at the the top and a socket with an extension bar can be used. but with ef onwards shouldnt have the top bolts.

Are you talking about the top bolts on the pedal box that your saying arent there on ef onwards?

as far as im aware...i know there not on an au and might of heard the same with el ef...dont quote me exactly as im not 100%

all E-series have top 3 bolts
i drive an EF and changed my pedal box over for the same conversion.
