had to do some work on a mates ef yesterday having to disconnect the battery to do the job i know find with battery connected its hunting for revs will idle fine then jumps up in revs then comes back to a perfect idle will idle fine then jump up again does the comp need to reset itself or is there some other problem that could be causing it.. Cheers

if you d/c the battery whilst working on it theres a posiblity that the ecu did reset it self, therefore its hunting for the right idle ?

Mine is doing that too but I havent disconnected the battery. It also has a flat spot on low to mid revs while cold but when it warms up the flat spot is gone but the idle is still hunting.
