Ok so ive just finished converting my ED xr6 to manual. the manual i got is out of a ED xr6, so have swapped computers and put the manual loom. left it for half an hour so smartlock could learn and then fired her up. revs climbed to 3000rpm and just sit there blowing smoke/fuel everywhere. i also dont understand why it would have done rings or something if i didnt even touch the motor and it was running perfect before.

i tried swapping back to the autop ecu and it did the same thing

is it something to do with the idle control valve?

and help would be appreciated

if the motor was fine and you swaped the gear box,is the wiring on the box correct, reverse and neutral.you swpped the ecu and wiring.
