not sure if this is true but i heard its normal for it to pull to the left (very slowly not as soon as u let go off the wheel it shoots off to the left lol) because if u were to fall asleep the car would veer off the road and u would crash into bushes or a tree or whatevers there instead of crashing into incoming traffic.

my xr6 pulls to the left and so did my ef. my ef had many wheel alignments too.

Every big ford I've driven drifts left slightly, wouldn't call it pulling tho.
They just cruise over slowly.

I'm suggesting the mechanic didnt know, the OP took the car and drove it and rang back to complain about the pulling. Then the mechanic said its probably the tires.

Can't always tell things are going to happen when you do something. Its called suck it and see.

if it was gonna cause trouble why didn't the mech put them on the rear?

Maybe the mechanic had been at work since 7am and was already looking at a 12 hour day and just didn't have the time.

Maybe his rear tires are that stuffed putting them on the front wasn't such a good idea.

Why is the OP driving on such badly worn tires in the first place?

people like you s**t me.

How are you're bushes, rackends, tierods, ball joints, wheel bearings.
If any of these are worn a correct allignment will be very hard and near impossible.
Who bothers to check them before an alignment ? :P
And then who bothers to rotate the tyres every 10 000 or so ? :P

We check all ours.
because otherwise the customers come back whinging and then if you say, look you're tierod ends are up the s**t and need replacing they expect a free wheelo. Where if you tell them before and say you won't do the allignment till its fixed cos there is no point you've covered you're a** then usually make a few buck fixing the problem then do a good wheelo and have happy customers...
