hey guys i had a problem with my car with it was a bit shakey so i got a wheel alignment and ever since that i let go of the steering wheel and pulls to the left my mechanic said that i had directional tyres on the wrong way and he fixed that and said its jst the tyres and it will be normal in a couple of days ????

He's either stuffed up or you have one front tyre more work then the other and its pulling

clearly he has done the wheel alignment wrong.
not enough negative camber on the LHF wheel. or too much negative castor on the LHF wheel. or too much negative camber on the RHF wheel

Not really suss. It's possible. If a tire has worn a certain way and you move its position on the car, it will try and follow its what is its normal track until it wears into its new place, to the detriment of how the car drives.
I had someone do a bad alignment and it chopped out the inside edges of my brand new tires. Got another alignment and car started vibrating at highway speeds. Had to wait a month for all the chopped and feathered edges to go flat again before it would ride smooth. Besides, his profile indicates hes got a bog stock AU. Therefore no camber kit or IRS. Just front toe settings. And he hasnt said there is a camber kit in there. And hasn't given alignment figures, so its all guess work. So will really need to list the alignment figures to judge if the bloke did a s**t job or not. |

It very possible for uneven wear on the tires to cause that problem.
To prove the point to one person who wouldn't believe it, we put new tires on the car while he was watching made no other changes and told him to take the car for a drive. Lets just say he felt like a tool for acting the way he did and not believing us. Other cars we've swapped the front tires left to right and the car suddenly pulls in the other direction. Anyone who thinks tire related issues like that should be fixed with alignment changes is fool and will only serve to wear the tires even more. To the OP, Get a second opinion, If it is your tires, you have two options, Deal with it or buy new tires. |

Just reminded me of a time I needed to put 2 spare tires on the back of my EL. Different brand rubber to the front, and this spare rubber was worn in by long past illegal activities. Driving down the freeway at 100km/h needed the wheel held 30deg to the right to stop it kamakazie diving into whatever was on the left of me. Old rubber went on 2 days later and was all back to normal. Suppose tis the reason its recommended to REGULARLY align and rotate your tires. Stops them wearing into a pattern that makes them unusable. |

Easiest way out might be to just switch your tyres front to back....

Before you all start why didn't he rotate and s**t remember you havnt seen the vehicle, therefor you havnt seen the tyres front or rear. Or anything else that could be contributing.
If it has s**t tyres on the rear no reason to rotate. since you were running a directional tyre backwards you will have worn the tyre in a certain way and have to wait to wear it back in correctly. How are you're bushes, rackends, tierods, ball joints, wheel bearings. If any of these are worn a correct allignment will be very hard and near impossible. But saying that he may have just done a quick toe and go. |
