This problem only surfaced about a week ago, but lately the car hasn't turned over after being driven hard. It will ALWAYS start second go after I turn the ignition off, but never the first time. Any idea why this would be happening? I took my friend out in it last night and drove it harder than usual. When I went to leave a few hours later, it turned over but immediately stalled. Started like new the second time. Car still drives as if nothing is wrong afterwards and the idle is smooth.

Had a similar issue, however it only happened once or twice. I changed the coil and never happened again.
Could also be fuel related. Fuel pump could be on its way out or fuel filter is extremely blocked. Fuel pump might not have enough oomph to pressurise the fuel fast enough (or fuel filter blocked making it harder) hence the good start second time around.

my eb used to miss horribly after getting driven hard and a few months later started cutting out when driving and not starting sometimes. ended up replacing the coil and eventually the dizzy. pretty sure it was the TFI that caused it maybe it plays up after being driven hard due to how hot the engine bay gets as they screw up under temperature so possibly worth looking into.
