hey everyone I have a 91 ea falcon with following mods
Ef engine with El harness dizzy and ecu with smartlock bypass all installed and been runnig great for at least a year and a half thanks to a few good fellows on here
Problem I have at moment is it will die just after starting seems when I put headlights on
then when I turn ignition on nothing no dash lights no cranking of engine no interior light nothing every things just dead.
After a random rest ie: 5 mins to 2 days car starts and runs awesome
have taken out all rellays that I could find and cant make it repeat problem to trace only thing that gimmicks prob is unplugging fuseible link off battery that must run to ign any ideas ??

sounds like a short or a faulty lead on the battery. undo the positive lead clean the battery and terminal. also put a photo up of the battery and leads.

Yep Id definately say its the battery itself or bad contact between leads and battery.

battery is mint only year old has the green inspection circle thing that shows its all good allso connections are tight and no corrosion as they were sprayed with that s**t you can buy to coat terminals

may have just found problem took the fusible link off positive terminal found signs off burning and bubbling off plastic coating have cut open and inside is rusty in color with rusty powder will try source one from wreckers or get local auto sparky to make
first one prob cheapest option
