hey guys im in need of some help again.
95% of the time when i start my car and take it for a drive it runs like crap for about half a km. It feels like its hesitating really bad and i gotta put my foot down a little further for the engine to really kick in like normal. But after about half a kilometre it runs perfectly fine. I just got it all serviced, leads, full filter, oil, timging etc. and didnt make a difference. Does any one know why my car is doing this...i suspect maybe the ecu has past its time any one else had this problem before? THanks!

Could be a number of different things either its air or fuel related or its something more complicated. My suggestion is to check the plugs and leads (they could be wrong type or not put in correctly). Check if the air intake has any blockages, it could even be something like a bad tank of fuel and maybe the fuel filter is stuffed.
Just little things like that can make the falcons run like ****.

yeh man i got all that replaced and the fuel filter was blocked and 2 of the leads were almost dead and i thought that would definetly fix it and it did make the car feel heaps nicer but the problem is still there.
As for a bad tank of fuel i was hoping that too but its been goin on for over a month now. Thanks for your help tho

hey mate, got everything replaced as well.. leads plugs fuel filter, injectors, headgasket fixed... did some more mods like extractors cam and the prob is still there... but it happens some of the time even when warmed up... some days its good some days its really annoying. next im going to get a new cat and air filter to see if it fixes it.

cat convertor could be one issue....
another one that i had, same symptoms as yours, was the beginning of the end for the Auxillary Shaft. after the week or so of running like crap the same way yours does, it started pinging under load, then lost power, then started losing cylinders, then finally went POP and that was it.

Thats exactly what mines doing except it only happens on start up regardless of being warm or not. but i found that on the really really cold monrings it doesnt do it

Yeah i would say do what EL__Fairmont has suggested, and or run a decent cleaner thru your injectors. But the ecu fault code test will definitely pick up on anything strange going on.
I had one done on my xr last week and came back all clear
