So i put in new spark plugs.. and then they went well and all but now the car is beggining to spit or.. "stall" between revs 2.5-3.5 after rev 3.5 the car will get all it's power back but between those two rev points the car loses a bit of power .. any ideas how to fix? it's a smooth loss of power by the way, it's not shuddering or anything just decreases power and yeah.. maybe fuel filter?

yeah i think that was it... i just fuelled up with 95 and now shes running fine . man wtf. HATE THIS FUEL s**t.

nope... she's still spitting the fuel is clean... hmmm any ideas? she goes well at the start on first gear.. then at around 2-3 revs shes just losing some power then after she kicks in again?

Check your ignition lead boots are pushed on the plug tight(should here a click), Is the BBM actuator working correctly--vacuum hose still connected?

And back on-topic....
My car stuttered and hesitated when I bought the car from the auctions. Turned out to be the fuel filter being blocked. Might want to give that a shot if you know it hasn't been changed before. If you have run the car with close to an empty fuel tank many times, then the pump may have picked up some crud and fed it into the fuel filter...no harm in getting it changed . But since it has been happening after you replaced the plugs, could be the lead boots as EL__Fairmont suggested. Are the plugs in tight enough? (not too tight though). BBM Actuator is a small cylinder that sits at the front of the BBM (BBM = Broad Band Manifold if you didn't know). It controls a butterfly in the BBM which opens or closes with accordance to the RPM. The vacuum created by the engine at certain RPM is fed through the actuator which pulls on a rod connected to the butterfly, opening and closing it as required. But if it is stuck or the vacuum hose is off, the butterfly won't operate as required to give you the smooth acceleration. Anyways I attached a picture for you of where the actuator is located. Attachment: You can check it by first seeing if the vacuum line is connected on it properly and the rod on the underside of the actuator is still connected to a shaft coming out of the BBM. If that is all checked, you can start the car and get someone to rev the engine (to about 3800RPM me think) while you have your eye on the actuator. The rod should move up and down as it hits the right RPM (not sure what it is on BAs, but in the ELs it's 3800RPM). If it doesn't then either the actuator is stuffed or the vacuum line is disconnected somewhere on the other end. Hope that helps

just went out to check it just then, it's working perfectly at high revs the BBM is moving and all is fine with it, it's just when i accelerate it starts to lose power so perhaps it is the fuel filter.. ill change it tomorrow when there's more light and that and post up if anything happens.. i still need a few tips because when i tried squeezing my hands together with two spanners on each nut it still wouldnt budge...
does it just mean i need to apply more pressure on the spanners? im using those type of spanners that are adjustable.. should i be using ones that are fixed?

So you're using a wrench rather than spanners? Better to use the fixed spanners...size 14mm and 19mm I think, that way there is less chance of round off the nut. They will be on rather tight. Just be careful that you don't round the nut off, if you do it will be more of a pain later on to remove it.
