Hey Guys

i have problem, when my car is cold and i starts it, it idles fine and then when i pull out of the driveway and got to takeoff it coughs and splutters for about 10seconds or until i plant my foot to the floor and then it goes away and doesnt come back until the car is cold again.
I thought maybe an injector but if it was blocked it would stay that way and no keep coming and going,Cleaned the throttle body and the Idle Up Device and no change. Did an oil change on the weekend seems to be a bit better but still doing it
Anyones advise on this would be great as its driving me mad

head gasket? but i doubt it.

i've gone through this heaps, telling people just to change the filters and that. injector cleaning wont do s**t cause the fuel filter shoud be collecting the crap before it gets to them. try that first

btw, you dont have a cam, do you?

Injector seals might be stuffed and letting air in. Did mine 2 weeks ago.

Yeah i would deffineatly get your injectors cleaned first. it will more than likely solve your problem. it shouldnt cost too much to get done.

hey mate.

well, to be honest, some cars do it and some dont. mine has always done it, my bro el never has.

ive had injectors cleaned, services, filters, spark plugs, mechanics.....nothing actually wrong

just start her up before you put your shoes on in the morning and she will be right.

My EL does it, I've changed leads, plugs, fuel filter, cleaned ISC etc but it still does it. Only in winter though, once the weather warms up it stops.

I had the problem of hesitating on take off from a cold start. It was the IAT sensor (intake air temp sensor on throttle body)
