plenty of fuel pressure and th eproblem occurs on both petrol and gas.
according to the self test, the ACT (Air Charge Temp sensor) and ECT (Engine Coolant Temp sensor) thinks its below 20 degrees lol ive got a spare so ill replace them both http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=29 http://fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=28 and the TPS circuit is telling the ECU that the throttle body is basically pointing backwards lol http://fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=30 Ill have to suss out the TPS circuit a bit more but not sure where the problem could be if i just replaced that loom

If you are getting all those errors, have looked to see if the cable is plugged in fully into the ECU????
You might need to unplug it and replug it

the self test needs to be done when the engine is at normal running temp, so those codes will not be applicable..

im out of ideas :(:(
can anyone suggest anything? ill have to buy a volt meter tomorow and test all wiring and sensors in the car. but fk, if that shows up nothing, i really have no idea what to do. if i have to replace the entire loom, I may as well put the 2jz thats in my garage in there lol

Done a compression test?

ive got the gauge, but an engine with low compression would still want to start.
this has to be an electrical issue. im usually pretty good at figuring stuff out and can generally fix most s**t. but this has me stumped!

Have you checked the timing with a timing light? The mark on the balancer should be a centimeter or two to the left of the mark on the timing cover when the light flashes. When I fitted a new dizzy I thought I had it about right, turned out it was about 20 degrees retarded and the car hardly started.
Also, have you checked/replaced the ECU relay under the coolant expansion tank? |

i just checked all the looms and they are all (the ones that are supposed to be anyway) getting at least some form of voltage/signal.
so that rules out any broken wires the only thing i havent checked are the relays under the coolant. any advice on how i can test this with a multimeter? and the only thing i havent replaced is the relays and the ecu itself. ill have to see if i can get a cheap ecu from someone to test it out the timing should at least be close enough for me to twist the dizzy enough for it to start. but I'll triple check for the third time lol

yeah it was on TDC.
this didnt start happening after i changed the dizzy. the car was running fine, i changed the cam, it was fine for a bit. then it wouldnt rev past 4000rpm. so i changed the cam timing, put it back together and then it started but it had a huge miss through all revs. now the car wont even start. that is when i changed the dizzy... a dizzy cant just jump 180degrees out and the aux shaft is fine.
