Good Morning Everyone,

I am currently grappling with an intermittent issue with my XG ute. As the title describes, on particularly cold frosty mornings the thing wont start. When i return later that day the car will start and run fine.

I imagine there is some moisture getting into the ignition system somehwere, im after some advise on where to start looking and how to get this soughted out?\

What do you mean won't start?
Does it crank over?
If so does it crank at the same usual speed?

Cranks wont fire. same speed, no compression issues. im sure its moisture in the ignition system somewhere as it started fine last night and this morning.

It could be a few things, including fuel or lack of. If you unplug a plug lead, connect it to an old plug and rest it on the manifold. You should them be able to see / hear the spark as you crank it. You could still have a bad relay or any number of things, so eliminate what it isn't. The Coils have been known to have cracks and issues in the rain, and the distributor modules are a known issue. Normally they stop before they wont restart. Is the Cranking at the right speed ? You have said it sounds right, but I have seen a stuck centrifugal advance in the Dizzy cause starting problems before.

The car is duel fuel and doesnt run on either. Would it still turn over with a dodgy relay?
