Possibly you may have left something unplugged somewhere?
Isnt really too many things that could of been left unplugged. Other than that cant really help you any more. Goodluck |

Is it trying to kick at all?
Does it smell like it is overfueling? You mention it has fuel to the rail - are the injectors firing? Are the spark plugs wet? Havent missed something obvious like not torquing the rocker gear down?

How old is the fuel?
Check all leads coming from batt, including little ones, for corrosion. Pull fuel pump relay and check contacts for corrosion and pitting. Open up fuel pump relay and/or swap for another to check its operation. Check battery to body earth lead for good contact and also the lead from starter bolt to under floor near ECU (EA's had them). Good luck.

checked the timing today and its way out ie blancer mark is at 12 o'clok.
could the blancer have'd sliped or is it more likely that the timing chain has moved i had it cable tied when i removed the head

Welcome to the the stuff up club, we've all done something similar at one stage or another.
Try the vacuum hoses, especially the one to the MAP sensor on the firewall. Failing this check everything you "checked" while trying to find the fault. We only stop learning when they close the lid! Cheers.
