Has anyone managed to get the BBM off their falcon without taking the engine out?
It was more complicated than my year 12 maths exams :\   check my old injectors out :S

Quite easy with the right tools
 Hardest part in my opinion was getting the hoses off the fuel reg.

Leave out back support bolt... Leave out silly little arm "holding" throttle body. Replace bolts to head with the hex head bolts from a spare BBM to make it easier in future.

Ahhah... But then you would have re routed the wiring loom under the bbm so it's not visable too. Of course polishing the BBM goes without saying. Whilst you're there, enlarge the throttle, replace injectors, higher pressure fuel reg, fuel pump, stick a different tune in that little box that is at the end of all those pesky wires.... Ah stuff it. Stuff removing the BBM. TAKE OUT MOTOR. Plane head, port the ports, bore the bores.

ive got a challenge for ya
try to remove an AU double din headunit using the ole' coathanger trick that everyone says works, then when it doesnt work, try resisting the urge to rip the f**k thing piece by f**k piece from the dash

as funny as you might think this sounds, ive never found removing the bbm a challenge.........

Just some more pics and stuff
 Somewhat polished my fuel rail & dipstick tube  Cleaned all the carbon from the bbm runners and gave it a nice coat of silver And I'm adding a manifold insulator which I got from.. mace.... sorry fiend I would have bought yours if I knew you sold them at the time :\ Other things being done are adding the brand new AU injectors and replacing all the leads. |

Yes well... Having had to remove the inlet manifold twice in a little over a week on the lads AU, I consider myself now to be an expert... LOL Why twice you may ask??? Once when the welsh plug decided to spring a leak and then again when that lovely heater pipe that runs around the engine decided to let go in sympathy......
Yes that rear bolt is an absolute biatch.... I didnt have to remove it second time tho.

Perhaps everyone should just re attach their BBM with cable ties
Just so it's easier next time ;p |

lol when was working at the wreckers we used to undo the manifold bots unplg the wire and take to the fuel hose with side cutters allways worked well lol

Only once had I an issue...which was when replacing the fuel reg...the damn hose is a pain in the a*** until you realise detaching it from the hard fuel line would have made it much easier.
