Series 2 EF Fairmont Ghia's had the full XR running gear, IE: 3.45:1 ratio diff.
You'll have to change the gearbox driven gear to a Black 23 teeth gear. p/n: XE-17271E (around $14) If you run 15" wheel's auto or manual you'll require a Grey 22 tooth Gear p/n: XE-17271F You could also Install a police cluster (hard to find) to be 100% accurate. I have a couple if you require one! http://www.fordmods.com/forums/Changing ... s-d14.html Anyways, I hope this solves your issue.

Depends on the K's
Here is a recent one that a dozen people want, but none have claimed! http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=69890 I have some very low K's (in Blackburn) that i want similar $ for but no LED conversion.

On the extension housing of the gearbox, 1x8mm bolt and the drive sender pulls out, then the gear is removed via a clip and replaced with the new one.
The red covered wire coming from th eleft hand side to the driver gear is a dead give away. You only need to jack up the drivers side of the car to axcess it, and its an idea to chock up the car as a safeguard. Should take all of 10minutes to replace.

If the car has the matching ecu, trans and diff why would you have to change the speedo gear?
