Okay, where do I start....

Yesterday I changed the head unit in the BA XT. Of course, you can't replace the factory head unit, so I got the little box to slot my new one into. We unplugged the speaker wires, then chucked it all back in. Car wouldn't start. Fiddled the wires a little, car fired up - but no taco (speedo, revs, temp, mileage, fuel consumption and a/c).

Now this morning, I went to go see Ford to get them to have a look... Turns out they were doing construction at the dealership. So I come home, park the car all good and s**t. I jump in half hour ago to go and get lunch, f**k thing wouldn't start.

WTF do I do :S

you say you fiddled the wires and it started, mate start with the basics, check all your connection, and if you left any wires hanging did you tape them up to insulate etc.?

...your wires are f**k? recheck them and and make sure they aren't loose and shorting each other out.

Checked the wiring, non are loose / non insulated. I know which lot of wires it is (far right bunch as you look at the head unit, yet I have no idea what they're called etc). I'll be taking the car in to Ford tomorrow or on Saturday, if I can't get time off of work, so they can have a look at it. Maybe just replace the entire head unit to be on the safe side?
