i'd recommend changing the reciever dryer if u've had the system open to atmosphere.

do you know if you lost any oil when u changed the compressor? they get kinda sensitive to incorrect oil levels in the system.

haha oil.. The a/c guy goes did u change the oil. I was like what oil? Theres oil in the compressor.
One more question. If there was a leak in the system, how many days would it take to notice? Would it depend on how big the leak was?

hellbent ive fixed the problem with my ac would you believe it was simple as regassing it. now its ok i thought if it needed gas it wouldnt work at all but i was wrong. as with hitting the steering wheel for the ac to kick in??? maybe it was coincidence that the ac kicked in at the same time! bloddy cars. now i can go on helping you guys out with problems. thanks for all who responded to my question. cheers!
