Anyone ever changed their own cat back exhausts at home on a BA? Is it easy to do (because of the IRS)?

Alright mate, I have an Ef and have not worked on a BA's exhaust so I dont know. Do a search on here about Ba cat back work. If it turns out its all similar to my ef, it will be a matter of undoing the bolts that hold your cat to the cat back system, removing another couple of bolts for another flange, removing the exhaust from some rubber holders and them pulling it all out. Then all you do is bolt the front piece to the cat, chock it up to make it easier for your tail section to bolt on, run an exhaust clamp between the front and rear sections of the cat back system and plug the exhaust back into the rubber grommets. Make sure you get flange gaskets and work out what size exhaust clamp you will need.
Best tip if you can do it yourself is jack the back of the car as high as you can to give you plenty of clearance between the Diff and floor.
Hope that helps in some way, sounds like a big job but if its like the Ef its a piss easy job and well worth it.

Ba's are not that hard, they have an advantage over earlier models in that they BOLT together so much easier than trying to force a tailpipe out of a muffler.
You will need to make sure you have a couple of NEW gaskets for the job and a couple of Rubber hangers, in case.
I would make sure that you have the vehicle OFF the ground and preferably on 4 jack stands and, take the Right Hand rear Wheel, makes it easier to get at the exhaust.
