Hey Just curious to an average price to what changing the transmission in my NF II fairlane would be, from auto to manual ?

including the gear box and pedal unit and all the other gear? seems cheap?

I paid $1250 to convert my ef. Included recon box (just lucky with that one, usually 2nd hand), bellhousing, crossmember, pedal box, clutch cable, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, manual computer, and the interior trim. That was from Athol Park Ford Wreckers here in Adelaide. I called a few yards, they were all the same price for the conversion but Athol Park were the only guys that had everything there ready to go.

Shop around, easy to get ripped of with car bits.

Would that be the same price to convert an au2 to manual. If so i'll definatley be doin that for that cheap price. I am so sick of my auto.

nah mate, I think the AU will cost you alot more. If you convert an e-series you can use any e-series 5 speed. With AU's youll need an AU 5 speed which is not as common. Phone around ang get some prices, maybe youll get lucky.
