There are heaps of intake plenums on the market but I've only seen them attached to boosted cars. Has anyone heard of a NA Falcon with an intake plenum attached like the Snort plenum? What results did they see across their rev-range?

Hey AU Tom,

Trav199 on this forum got 246rwkw (330rwhp) out out his N/A BA 4.0 with a turbo-style plenum. For comparison, the E49 Charger would have had about 180-190rwkw (240-250rwhp) from 4.34 L.

But the Charger was a lot lighter than a B-series Falc (1365kg), so the performance was awesome - especially with the 4-speed manual. Even if the handling would be considered pretty average by today's standards, and the fuel economy of triple Webers downright scary, I would give my eye teeth and a number of other body parts for one.

Don't forget now.....Trav's car was modified OUTSIDE the factory.....the E49 was factory done.....BIG difference there.
Imagine doing the same thing with a 265....same cam, but 52mm Webers ( or multi throttle body injection), a bit more compression, better headers, bigger exhaust, MSD or ICE ignition.....etc.
Just sayin.

So true. With the technology available at the time, 302hp in an factory-produced vehicle was nothing short of phenomenal. They say it was a Ferrari beater in its day. A well-tuned set of six-pack Webers (one throttle per cylinder) can produce about the same peak power as individual throttle bodies, so they didn't leave anything on the table there.

I like your ideas for modding the 265 - it would be a beast. Add to that modern max-performance tyres, gas shocks, urethane bushings and other other suspension and brake upgrades, and you would have a seriously fun retro-cool ride.
