Im after ideas on how to make my el quicker, so far ive done
5 speed conversion with extreme hd clutch 345 lsd Boxed pod filter Pacy 4480s, 200 cell cat and 2.5" exhaust Port and polished tickford head with 30 thou off Crow 2549 (stage 3) with hd valve springs J3 to suit Thinking maybe 3.7s, bigger fuel pump and injectors then dyno tune? Anything else that needs improvement? Ive still got a year and a half until im off my Ps, so gotta stay NA Thanks |

BARRA. Easiest way to get more power from an EL.
Worked for me Brett

From what i read your saying.. it hasnt been dyno tuned yet? With those mods perhaps theres a fair bit to be made with a decent tune?
Otherwise as said.. wait till Ps are over and boooost, or DOHC the girl

Yeah when im off my ps I was thinking built au bottom end with my ported el ticky head. Not real keen on doing a barra conversion, is it worth doing a bigger fuel pump and injectors before a dyno tune? Was going to get a bosch 044 but notbsure about injectors. Will later model falcon injectors go straight in and make a decent gain?

If you want to use other injectors, just use the AU 20lb injectors. BA 29lb will be too big for your application and will need to be cycled back with the J3 anyway. Larger pump won't hurt but probably won't need to unless your old one is on the way out.

I felt noticeable difference in idle, defininetly improved with the AU ones,
but didnt feel any increase in power, just seemed to rev out easier/smoother, which would be caused from the better spray pattern

Yep, definitely smoother. And possibly a little better fuel economy and lower emissions too (for anyone who worries about these things ).

Anyone know roughly how much power I'd have atm and how much I'd gain from a dyno tune?

No one would have any idea.
depends on engine condition, geabox condition, and diff condition, and how well your engine responds to mods, no 2 engines are the same.

get it tuned properly with au injectors and go from there. the package you have should make decent power.
