each wheel has an individual sensor. the sensors work by picking up a magnetic pulse induced from a tone wheel attached to either the brake disc (front) or axle (rear)

the sensors are magnetic themselves meaning that over time they will attract metal fillings etc and that will interfere causing the sensor to not pick up the pulses thus bringing on a ABS light. or sometimes they can just fail (open circuit or too high resistance)

You serious buddy? Maybe you should try ya brakes in the wet.

I did that when my abs was faulty. Was going down a hill in Sylvania on princess hwy and was horrendous rain and some mutt was on the road. Was like 3am and no one around. Hit the brakes and whole car spun 120 degrees to the left at 70kmp/h

Pretty hard to control a 1.5 tonne car down a slope whilst pointing in the wrong direction in the wet buddy.

Your idea is bloody stupid and hope you grow up before you start giving out this sort of stupid advice. f**k hell.

agreed. the ABS in my old ED saved me quite a few times on country unsealed roads.

Hiya, yeah, don't put electric tape over the bulb,

jack up the car, remove discs, the ABS sensor is a little black ring, about the size of the 10c often what I can happen is bits of metal from brakes cover the black 10c sensor, give them a clean, one at a time, put the wheel back on, go for a drive, and see if it still happens, if fixed it, great! if not, do the next wheel until fixed, I think the ABS sensor or black ring, is held in from the back of the rotor spindle, I think its eaither a 5 or 6" mil bolt.

If all else does not work, check EVERY fuse ... or you could take out the ECU and leave it for 24hours

Laticia.
