Well...not quite sure, how much hotter would the manifold get? not much i spose, might look nice, but not fully sik.

yea i duno, i was jsut talking to a guy at work today and he gets bits done for his bike
he said it usally costs him less then $100 for get little bits n pieces done i jsut reckon it would look really nice with all the bits shining and the black bits black, not dried out and faded

We have a place in Perth called project neon and they have spray on chrome. But its not like a spray can, its actual chrome and you can't really tell the difference.
Seen that photo of the "chrome dipped merc" ?? Its actually that paint.

Hey that paint sounds cool.
But you could always polish instead? That way you can do it yourself and save money. |

First you have to level the surface. Eg. 80grit wet&dry. The you go through the grades up to around 1200-2000 until it is a very smooth finish.
After that you break out some metal polish such as Autosol, and after a few minutes you should see your reflection. Makes it sound easy, but it isn't. The sanding takes a long time and is hard work. There are other ways cut a rough surface back other than sandpaper thogh, just depends on what tools you have. |

Wire brush on a rotary tool, sandblasting, even disc/belt sanders can help. Just be imaginative.
I dunno how the pro's do it, but I usually just use sandpaper followed by various other tools for hard to get bits or large flat surfaces etc... |

Not as easy as you thing i've been playing around with them for a few months polishing and that the manifolds ive completed 1 ED manifold ill take a picture for you in the next few days.
