What would be the best way to clean the throttle body? Remove it from the car then clean it or can it be cleaned while it is still on the car?

Your best ption would be to remove the throttle body and clean it that way.You can slso clean the ISC motor thoroughly too.

Yeah remove it, there are 4 bolts holding it on, get a lint free cloth or rag get some carby cleaner spray lightly and wipe off, with the isc to clean that get a fresh rag spray lightly and poke in and then pull out then spray out with air.

I just wedge something on the gas pedal to get full opening. I then use an old soft toothbrush soaked in petrol and clean the throttle body bore in and behind the butterfly. I then wipe out the bore with a lint free cloth.
Cheers.............
