just bought an el fairmont and i cant get the heater to work i have done the diagnostic which is fine, just wondering where the heater tap is as that could be the cause?

its under the intake manifold, have a look down inside the engine bay past the bottom of the washer bottle

As mentioned check the heater tap best view is from under the car. Check vacume hose connected to the heater tap and at the back of the inlet manifold. Sometimes nothing shows on the diagnostics but you could also have a broken heater flap that connects to the blend door motor. Then its a dash out repair.
