i have an el falcon xr6 5 speed manual and yesterday when i was driving home the cluch pedal suddenly dropped to the flaw and i counldnt get it into gear... and on inspection the rubber thing that holds the clutch cable has come out of its case...... does anyone know if this part canbe aqquirred from a ford dealer???? and the name of it???

yes at the gear box end.... its a rubber thing with claws that hold the cable.

that is availabe from ford. probably about 25-30 bucks maybe.
fairly common. most guys here with manuals probably would of done one.

yup, the prongs on my broke, so i just welded them up to make them stronger

wile your there get a thing that is at the pedal end , the little metal bracket the cable goes into, about 3 dollars , it will be next and if it happens on later sat afternoon and u cant get parts you will be s**t off. as i speak from exp.

Yup, i know the ones, ford should of made them MUCH stronger!

they seem to be made out of tin lol. it seems a pretty f**k up set up
