Hey guys
I am getting a sprintex supercharger from Snort Performance and woundering if i should change my standard clutch to something like a HD button clutch. I am curious to how much the stock clutch can handle, i assume it would be ok for normal driving but much past that the clutch will slip? My concern is that when the car gets dyno'd the standard clutch will slip a lot and toast its self and give a s**t power figures, will be running 9 psi hopefully 200+ rwkws and lots of torque. stock clutch seems fine at the momement only and the car a year (7000 kms) and is still the same clutch Thanks |

Button clutch is probably a bit of over kill
You can you get a heavy duty organic Exedy clutch which should do the job. Ran one in a 300zx running 16 psi and handled it great You should also want to reinforce the fly wall and pedal box to prevent failure

you should be alright with the first or second stage over standard with about 220rwkw.
ClutchPro or Exedy is the way to go. We sell lots of ClutchPro at work and dont hear anything bad about them at all. KFD26001-1A from ClutchPro should be ok. thats a heavy duty organic, or you could go to the KFD26001-1B which is the Heavy Duty Sprung Ceramic.
