The newer one in the first pic is an EA is it not. The other one is the latter version from EB onward.

Take it back and exchange it for the correct one.

Yep the one on the left is a 3 bolt EA setup as mentioned. Clutch plate is 9.5" as opposed to the 6 bolter setup which is 10" IIRC. Check your transmission as well - mark the input shaft and the cover tube and mark the output shaft the same - select 1st gear and rotate the output shaft one revolution - if the input shaft spins 3¼ turns, it's an EBII onwards box, if 3½ turns, it's an EA-EBI box or earlier. Otherwise, just visually it's hard to spot any difference. Just because they say it's out of an EB falcon, doesn't mean a replacement or conversion has not been installed from another model.
And as for the exchange kit, yeah, they need a floggin - you'll find the 3 bolt kit is cheaper than the 6 bolt one, so definitely get the right one, particularly if they charged you for it.

well ened up giving up and getting the auto out befor the light was gone. got that alll out and gotthe fly wheel off then compared it tothe one i got from the wrecker andyeh asu can see in the pic it aitnt going to fit / bolt to the motor.
so going to head back to the wrecker tomorow arvo after work toget the right one.
