Interesting read, how long would it be before the AU blocks would be up for sale? and have you worked out a rough price yet?

it shouldn't be a problem with the late models but the issue you'll face with is the extensive modifications with the chassis & firewall... a engineer should pass it as long as it complies. more or less he'll say it belongs on the track! lol
the only way to find out is to call one. be nice & he'll give you a honest answer or opinion before you start hacking away on the falcon's weak sub-frame! rofl

they stoped production in 1995. so you'd be limmited to puting one in EF and older cars.
the late EFI heads have incredibly shrouded intake valves, ford did this to promote huge amounts swirl. This posses a big problem when looking for power. Remember this is a low reving truck engine.

sure you could fit an early carby 300cu or 240cu head, but then you have an engine for which there are is no emissions information and there for can not be legaly used in an emissions controled car.

Or it would be classed as a early carby engine with an EFI upgrade and would still not be legal for use in an emissions controled car.

I would rather sell you these motor thats being tested properly under all conditions & meaning comming up to summer, checking for how it handles the heat & anything else that may develop..... again if any !!!.... as I would think you & every one that wants one would be very p****d off had I not done my job propley.

Yeh I looked at the 300cu engines years ago but when I did the reserch found, back then, to hard to get & to many mods for fittment, IMO in the end it was just to expensive......

thanks

This is just insane!

I have absolutely no need for one, but if there was one in my Xmas stocking I wouldn't be taking it back :D

Best of luck with it, a Turboed 4.8L would make me weak at the knees.

yes, well I have already alicated the other motor to one of the guy's from the CMS stable ''he dosn't know it yet'' since both of my test vehicles have be burnt to the ground by some f**k up junkies, (there always parked out side & havent been touched for over 12 months) hence the need for a new test car.........

Joe the EA is gladly available for testing, been doing around 4-500ks a week at the moment, mainly weekends throughout the day, short and long distances too (cause of where i live). Can be there at warp speed for one of those.
