It would be good to see a fully worked 4.8lt in a corty or falcon taking on the hemi sixes in the n/a six dyno comps ,like at summernats!, could give them a run for their money...vito

That's what I was thinking as well ... will see how development goes with this ... if it works well ... it might be a cheaper althernative to a blower ... and still look factory.

could you see this motor reliablly exceeding the 200rwkw mark??? also can their be further modding to this motor in terms of forced induction???
if it turns out to be a good and reliable, ild be extreamly intrested

I think with the right combo 200+ rwkw is very do-able, I'm more concerned about these 2 & making them reliable with all the testing that I need for them to go through including..... dynoing with all the specs then taking the second one down to wsid for some passes, but forced is definalty the next step as I already have a customer that were doing a stage 2 Snort set up for with & he wants a stroker for it ASAP....but the other biggest enquire that I've had is in doing a B series engine so I've got one of those before xmass & this will be also done as the demand is there.

Joe

Any idea on an ETA?
I assume the SOHC version will be developed before the DOHC?

Would valve size be much of a limitation on this setup Joe? I assume what you can do with valves is limited by the head casting and you won't be able to take full advantage of the bigger bore by increasing valve diameters by 3-4mm?

If so, it would be a good candidate for a cheap centrifugal supercharger to fill out the top end without making bottom-end torque too OTT for a streeter (as a turbo might).
