funny that you mentioned that, I've being asked to come down that way & set something up ???.... mate I run a small shop, me & one mech, ''still looking for another one'' & I do almost every thing my self.... I get a kick out of making the i6 going as hard as posible as a N/A set up, dont get me wrong I like my V8's & forced induction stuff, but making a n/a hitting 200rwkw+ is my goal, getting a Eseries doing 12's in street trim is another goal, & lets face it the v6 holdens arent even in the same field, sure the quick of the mark but they run out of puff, all of the cars that I set up are sick of playing with the v6's they look for Gen III & ricers to run, but they'll tell you that them selves.....
My other project which I have started is setting up a EDXR6 using the factory ECU meeting all of the ARD emissions for that particular vehicle with a stage 2 snort kit, fully enginerred on petrol not gas & the target is to hit around 250rwkw with my own spark retard kit that I'm in the middle of sorting out, with no front mount...but it will have a cooler on it & on boost from 1500rpm may be even less with a total amount of pipe work of 25cm.??????

hey guys,

just wondering why some of u dont use the 300 cube inline 6 from canadian F trucks, i've been lookin at using one of these for a long time now, i know the main problem is parts availability etc but it may be worth a look into

decent port work high compression and reground cam would make it very interesting

it would also be interesting to get one to fit in a falcon. much taller and longer then our 6cyl engines

Then to get it legal and registers would be even more fun. "try convincing an engineer that a non crossflow 300cube truck engine meets the same emissions standards as the original OHC engine.

It shouldn't be a problem with the late models but the issue you'll face with is the extensive modifications with the chassis & firewall... a engineer should pass it as long as it complies. more or less he'll say it belongs on the track! lol
the only way to find out is to call one. be nice & he'll give you a honest answer or opinion before you start hacking away on the falcon's weak sub-frame! rofl

I remember big cube 6s in f series trucks but they were all from the old series pre x flow design like when the 5 bearing crank came out in canadia but the 300 cube job didnt fit our water jackets for the 2v head.
Anywho i wont 1 of these blocks it will be great in my family 7 seater mont ef wagon that alrweady has xr6 head, cam, computer, extractors and 2.5 inch cat back exhaust the ultimate sleeper when i have a car full of kids.
Price me up baby when i get back from my tour of the Solomons i want 1.
