Well done. Now for some times to put a nice ending twist to this story. well we gteked it last night and it pulled a 15.2 90somthing mph. and thats with an extra passenger, baby seat spare wheel etc. and it bogged down a bit at the takeoff. it could have been a better take off. so i rekon high 14s here we come rob

do u suggest gettin new valve springs fitted with this cam too, gettin my tax back soon, and some other bits n pieces so i wana get it done while i have the cash, and would rather do it all at once and do a good job instead of havin to pull apart to add or repair al lthe time
so anythin else suggested with this cam?

so anythin else suggested with this cam? They ran the stock valve springs on Yobbo's car. Maximum lift for the stock springs is around 0.500", Joe @ CMS can tell you if theyre required, give him a call.

well whether or not you believe dyno figures, tonight the yobbo wagon ran a 14.966@90.86mph, an improvement of 0.8 secs on my previous best.
we are running the std springs in mine and have no trouble with them binding at all. to say im happy is an understatement, im stoked

Very nice ET (although MPH do seem a bit low for a genuine 148rwkw IMO). Not taking anything away from you though, unlike dyno numbers you cant argue with track times.
How much do the wagons weigh?

i havent had it on a weighbridge but i have been told around the 1700kg mark. my mph would be low compared to yours because of your diff gears, i have 3.27 (std wagon gears), but cheers, im still happy as.

Good work yobbo. I reckon you could squeeze a 14.8 out of it though
As I was telling Joe the other day, before I got my new engine I ran a 14.8 with just cam and extractors, and a 3.23 single spinner diff, and that was only 136kw on the dyno. If the wagon is really as heavy as you think then that's definitely holding you back. You'd probably get a 14.7 out of a manual sedan with LSD Either way, a sub 15 second quarter is pretty impressive from an "old 6 cylinder falcon station wagon" and if it wasn't for the rims it'd be quite the sleeper (not that shiny rims give you the ultimate street racer presence )

How much do the wagons weigh? a v8 with 148kw will have a higher mph because it has more torque so mph aint gonna tell much as long as the time is there
