Hi everyone,Ive just got my barra engine running in my XG-only had it running a few minutes when I noticed that the coil holes were half full of water and switched it off, does anyone know if this may/has damaged them,, Ive blown out the water with comprssed air and am letting them air out, just a bit worried this may have buggered them, any advice would be cool, cheers, Johnny.

You'll know if it has damaged them, will cause a missfire, like a wet plug.
They are usually ok when they get wet unless they are old/ plastic has gone porus or cracked, in that case they will have failed soon anyway. |

Easiest way to test them is whack a high energy test plug in them and run the motor... If it has good strong spark on the large gap on the test plug then the coil is fine... Just had to test mine the other day because the turbo had a misfire...
Unlike the E series it's best not to concentrate a pressure washer fan on the rocker cover to avoid water entering the coil holes... Cheers, Tim
