Don't know if I would worry about a high performance replacement. Other coils (LS1) may have a different amount of inductance and this could damage you output driver stage in your ecu. I would just contact inject-a-carb and spend $86 + freight on one that is designed for an EF/AU. Also good plugs and leads if they haven't been done recently.

Sorry to hijack your thread but does anyone know any to suit EF? Was looking into the screaming demon ones and if part number 31737 works on AU does anyone think the 31736 would work on the EF's heres a link to one they look similar and the input plug looks to be the same. What do you guys think.

Should be no dramas as the replacement standard coil packs on the site I mentioned above are for EF/AU.

you would need to buy some AU11 / AU111 leads to use that coil on an EF.
all of this thread has been covered before. a couple of times.

excuse my ignorance but what is the difference in the coil side of the plug between au1 and au3
is it a diff size??
its just i rearry dont feel like buying new leads aswell?
can i modify the lead plug??
