if not is it possible so somehow use a high performance coil and modify a coil pack?

thinking outside the square a little, just a little freaky.

Use two of the stock ones and sort of cobble them together?

increase the current, thus the energy igniting the fuel.

potential problems would be load on the elec system, wearing out plugs, leads, dizzy button potentially.

top fuelers use a double dizzy system (for both backup and performance)

Just an idea.... dont go s**t on it (more so me) just an idea

mate it's so easy you could do it in 2-3 minutes if it wasn't in such a p00fter position... i was going to move mine to a cooler place but couldn't find a good spot without lengthening the ht coil lead, so i took the inlet manifold off (read: p00fter job) and made a bracket to bring it closer to the dizzy off the original mounting holes from s/s, given the rubber insulators on the coil i wasn't too concerned bout the heat soak.

easy to wire though, just positive, negative lt and one ht lead

1 of the guys on AFF was looking at using 6 LS1 coils on his Au1 to replace the stock bosch unit. I dont remember if he actually got it working but if I can find the link Ill put it up.

6 ls1 coils would be goo evan if using standerd units easy to upgrade to a higher qaulity unit to would be a bugger to wire up though

why would it be a bugger to wire up
the current coil pack has a positive and a separate negative for bank 1,2 and 3
how are the ls1 coils wired up ?
would ls1 coils be much better?
