Hi guys.
Yesterday I replaced my leads with the "eagles brand" it took me 45 minutes to replace due to large arms & hands. f**k you fork, f**k a**hole! thanks for making it easy. hehehe Anyway, is it possible to relocate the coil packs to where its more accessible. eg: on rocker cover {shorter leads} firewall {longer leads} to 1,2,3 sparks. I reckon the shorter/equal lengths leads might be the go, lesser the resistance & thermal heating. who knows, might have nice fat strong spark arcs for better combustion. And a 1 minute quick change over off course.

i dont see why you couldnt move it its in a pain in the a** spot on the rocker would be ugly and the coil pack then wouldnt clear the bonnet.
i dont really think its in that bad of a spot, you would have to take the bbm off and run custom wiring to relocate it, i dont think it would be worth it |

Mine are relocated to next to the BBM instead of under it.
there is also an ED turbo thats running coil packs, and its bolted to the back of the rocker cover. its just a matter of the wiring,

dont think it will fit there ....
wiring be piss easy to do... extend the wires... hell i need a new coil pack soon

why bother? if u do half the lead job from under the car is a piece of piss... be more stuffing around in moving it than there would be in replacing leads every blue moon

i did all my leads from above, took the air box out, piss easy, did em in like 15 mins.. just go 1 at a time and you cant f**k up and wedge your hand in there.. and when it can go any further, push it abit further.. and dont get your elbow stuck between aircon pipe and shock tower like me

hmmmm, spend hours trying to figure out a new spot to put the coilpack, and then even more time making it fit there...
OR spend 15mins once every 2-3yrs changing leads...

Ok then, I give it a try just for experiment & being different, just gotta find out when I can have a couple of weeks off.
Gonna try and sus out a bracket template & get one of those heavy duty ground wires so I can ground it straight to the - battery. you gotta realize that you loose between 3-5 kw of power due to current drop when it reach your spark plugs. theres to much long runs of electrical wires in there. make them short & use thicker gage wire, you'll be surprise what you've gain. maybe I'll get it done if I ever blow a head gasket, when ever that is. I use the negatives to drive me & I use the positives to guide me!

Its got a miss... BUT it not the coilpack, its not the leads and its not the plugs as they are all brand new. I only do 20,000km a year if that. If you need to change your leads on a frequent basis, then there is something wrong with your ignition system.

i just changed mine tonight(plugs and leads). did them about 18 months ago. would think i have done about 35,000 klms. was a bit of a pin in the a** but dont think i could be bothered moving the coil just to save it.
I had a bad mis/splutter down low under load, like when the air con was on and id stick the boot in down low. seems to be good now

mine have done about 90,000 since I changed em - car idles nice, doesn't miss so why bother changing em again i reckon...
