Hey guys, I have an el falcon Gli Sapphire. I'm changing the motor for one out of an ef Fairmont ghia.
Is there anything I should watch out for when changing the ef motor back to dizzy?

I changed a XR6 EL into a EF not so long ago. From the EF you need

the harmonic balancer. and crank angle sensor
the coils
the computer
the cam angle sensor
the engine wiring loom (as converting the EL one was just too annoying...)

In reverse I would suggest you DON'T need any of this and could throw the EF stuff away on EvilBAY.

You could, if you wish, put the EL balancer on the front and change the front seal (oil leak prone after quite a few KM's)....

Hmmm... Basically there is very little to do with this conversion. The front balancer on the EF has a ring with teeth on it for the crank angle sensor (which the EL doesn't bother with)... When you put the dizzy in you'll find the arm holding it in position is not the same as the arm holding the "cam angle sensor" into the EF (they come from opposite sides).

It should all slot together nicely mate.

A straight bolt in.
