does anyone know if the au coil pack will interchange with ef one. i found out that because of the unreliable ef coil packs ford change the manufacture when thay built the au's

That is what I thought, but some on on here recently said they are both made by Bosch... go figure.

hornet wrote: That is what I thought, but some on on here recently said they are both made by Bosch... go figure. yer but i guess not everything bosch is made under the same roof, a few yrs ago i worked for empire rubber making rack boots and door rubbers and other rubber stuff for ford holden and other models everythink left the factory packed as BTR goods, it turned out that empire rubber had a contract filling orders for a division of BTR, so maybe bosch had some other company making the coil packs under contract for bosch.

ie u can put au pack on ef

yer ok i will just fit whatever's going it's on a friends ef i just done the head gasket, welsh plugs and leads he does on average 2000 km per week towing a 6 by 4 tralior so i has to be reliable.

just a bit of info, i went looking for coil on plugs and from what i found in the US they are $77.45 each.
So looks like i might go for the AU coils.

You will need to rewire the LT side so you will need the AU plug from the wiring loom and buy some AU plug leads as they are different here as well. Having done that you will find no difference other than the size of you bank balance. There is already a thread on this, try out your search button.

you could always grab 6 single post coils and wire them in pairs. mount them somewhere easy to get for future lead changes,
