just first thing as i pull out of the drive in the morning, if i dont give her the beans and keep the revs up, the engine stutters and chugs a bit. while idling its fine and rev the engine to the s**t house and its fine. drive off? same thing.

i just replaced the oxy sensor (unrelated) and a week later when the problems happened a cracked spark plug (piston 3) and replaced the leads yesterday and found lead 3 had infinite resistance (not working).

i haven't noticed any big power drop or anything and when its hot she's fine. its not the head gasket either. also experiencing slightly higher and lower voltages than usual at start. ??? other then that the gear changes are sometimes a little more rough then i remember but maybe because the engine isn't putting out the best power. fuel economy is still good too.

how hard is it to blow a dissy in an EL? reset the ecu? s**t injector? i know its not the head gasket.

your headgasket may be weeping a small amount of coolent into the cylinder(s) over night. hence why you don't expereince any issues once warm

i know what it would do. ive had a hydrocarbon test done on the system. i know the mechanic and he said 'deffinetly no hydrocarbons'

as much as i'd like to think its not the head gasket its looking like it is, i know. but that test has given me a little shread of hope. so im trying to be optimistic.

plus, it would run rough from the start yeah? ive sat there for a minute revving the s**t out of the engine and it doesn't miss a beat. drive down the road, still does it. so im thinking something else.
