Got some competition pacies on my EF the other day and it hasnt really improved my power. It doesnt feel any faster. My engine internals are stock. Just wonderin if i would see the best potential from these extractors with some porting and larger cam,valvesprings....etc. im not keen on touching the bottom end yet coz thats wen the big dollars come in.

Also can anyone recomend a place in perth that does head porting

Try a cam to boost low down power and that - Wade 1604 or something and Tickford ECU. Worked well for me.

I cant remember the blokes name, but if you ring dim from prestige auto's in welshpool he can tell you the name of the guru in perth.
Not worth flowing your head if you arent going to upgrade your cam or adding forced air.

AFAIK comp pacies are for competition engines that make power up high in the rev range.

Nah, there actually great for low down power increase. I thought it was for up high in the rev range, but I talked to a fair few exhaust shops and that, and they all reckoned that from the specs they'd be better down low and that. I'm not going to argue about it, as I don't know the details of why, just saying what I've been told, and I mean it didn't really matter to them weather they sold me the standards or the comps as they were still going to get paid for the labour to fit them and make profit off the hi flow cat regardless!

hey tweedle dee tweedle dumb!

vic is right the comp series pacies have larger primaries to boost torque and power high in the rev range were most "race" cars have the engines spinning
not often that u want low down grunt in a race car

They are better all round really. The smaller diameter gives good down low performance, and the tuned length design is great for high rpm.

voxace is right they use primary size and length to tune both ends of the powerband.

My guess is the JMM race series will give better low end (really long secondaries) but the pacies will rev out better.

I don't know why they don't work for you azza but I am very happy with mine.

I did a before and after dyno and no doubt they work. I think its posted up in my gallery

when i fitted the comp pacies to my car, the 1/4mile time droped from 15.5 to 15.2

they do work.
maybe you where just expecting to much and feel let down by what you got????

pretty sure he was referring to the 4480's not the competion

Pacemaker PH4480's are the Competitions, PH4499 (I think or something similar) are the Standards, and as you can ssee from his post above he was refering to the Comps.
