As some of you will know (from other posts)
I'm currently having my engine rebuilt. Bottom end will be Speedway specs (race specs), with extensive headwork, very lumpy cam, pacemaker extractors, high flow 2 1/2" exhaust system all the way through, and the ecu currently being piggybacked by a Unichip. Already have LSD with 3:55 gears. Auto transmission - don't really want to switch to manual just at the moment, the auto is fairly new. I'm expecting some fairly serious power figures from this. My question - what other mods would people suggest for this set up? BBM conversion with el XR ECU (to kll the 180km speed limiter as well as to control the injection)? Shift kit? Hi stall? Twin TB set up? I'd be interested to hear peoples suggestions, and if you could include what the benefits are, and an approximate price, it'd be wonderful. Very much looking forward to seeing what the car can do when I get it back, and if there's anything else I can have done while it's being rebuilt, then depending on $, I'd love to do it.

The auto and 3.5'ish gears will be a dog. Go for 3.9/4.11's and a big stall with that combo or it will be a slug off the line.
edit: oh, and forget about factory ecu's with "very lumpy cams". Get something you can tune.

hi-stall should be aimed close to where you make the most torque/kw.
As stockstandard mentioned already, a higher diff ratio is the go as it'll get you faster to where the power band is. especially if you're done intensive head work & lumpy can, cause it suggest that the power figure will be at the higher rpm range. A shift kit will certainly help alot plus a descent trans cooler to keep heat at bay if you're stalling it alot for good launches. not only that, it'll reduce the likelihood of premature failure to the auto box. by the way, what are you using it for... every day, weekend, drag racing?

The car is a daily driver, and hopefully after the rebuild, a weekend racer. Though I'm less interested in drags than I am in longer circuit type racing.
Being quick in a straight line is good, but longer competitions are more fun. Not certain yet what races would allow the car, but I'll be finding out real soon. Shift kit, hi-stall, trans cooler, and switch gearing to around 3.9. Thanks for the advice so far guys

Have a go at building your self a shift kit.
Maybe look into after market ECU's cause i hear that if you dont put the gear to 3 (dont Drive) then the car goes into LHM so maybe a ECU could fix this? Got any pics of the car?

First time that I've heard about a shift kit throwing a car into LHM.
I'll have to look around and see what I can find on the subject - Thanks Aftermarket ECU (full setup - wolf3d, haltech etc) is a maybe at this point. Pretty much depends on what I can get away with on engine price. Adding another $1000 plus might be just a little too much. I know a guy that can build the engine for me, I know a guy that can do tranny and diff work, I know a guy that can help with installs, unfortunately I don't know a guy that can help with ECU's
